How do I renew my child’s Club Penguin membership through the app?
You can renew your child’s Club Penguin membership on both iOS and Android by following the directions below:
1. Log into your child’s account
2. Tap the Gear icon to access the Settings menu
3. Select Restore
Apple only allows one recurring subscription payment per iTunes ID. Additional membership purchases are non-recurring.
You can purchase up to four different subscriptions on one Google Account.
Will my membership automatically renew?
Your membership will automatically renew based on your payment option. Credit card and PayPal purchases are both recurring.
When you make your purchase, make sure you read the terms of purchase and your purchase receipt. You will be notified if it is recurring.
With a recurring membership you will continue to be charged until the subscription is canceled.
I just got a membership, so why can’t I buy things?
If you just signed up for a membership, but still can’t get member-only items, try the following:
1. Log out of Club Penguin, then back in. Sometimes the system just needs a minute to update!
2. Make sure you’re logging into the correct account. Ask your parent to check their membership receipt for the penguin name.
3. Depending on what type of payment was used to buy your membership, it may take a few days for it to activate. Visit How soon will my membership take effect?, to see if your membership needs time to update.
If your membership still isn’t working, please have a parent or guardian click the orange Contact Us button below to send us an email.
They should include as much information about their purchase as possible, including the:
- penguin name
- payment method and amount
- email address entered at the time of purchase
- transaction ID
When does my membership expire?
When your membership is about to expire, we’ll send your penguin a postcard reminder. We’ll also send an email to the address associated with your penguin account.
If you’re not sure when your membership will expire, ask an adult to log into their Parent Account and select your penguin account.
There they will find all the important information about your penguin, including when your membership will expire.
If they don’t have a Parent Account, they can create one in the Parent Account section.
How do I purchase a membership for my child’s account?
There are several different ways to purchase a Club Penguin membership. These include:
Payment methods vary depending on your location. Visit our Membership page to see which options are available in your area.
To purchase a recurring monthly, semi-annual, or annual membership using a credit card/debit card or PayPal, follow the directions below:
1. Visit our Membership page
2. Select a membership package
2. Select a membership package
3. Enter your child’s penguin name and password used to log into the game
4. Confirm that you’ve chosen the correct penguin
5. Choose a payment method
6. Fill out your billing information.
Note: Remember to enter your email address on the billing form. This is where your purchase receipt will be sent.
Membership cards can be purchased from a variety of retailers, then redeemed on the account of your choice.

Gift Certificates can be purchased online using a credit card, depending on your location. They are one-time purchases that do not recur.

Is a Club Penguin app membership recurring?
Apple allows one recurring subscription payment per iTunes ID. This membership renews based on the subscription plan selected.
Additional membership purchases through iTunes are non-recurring.
Monthly or annual memberships purchased through Google Play automatically recur. You can purchase up to four different subscriptions on one Google Account.
What kinds of membership cards are available?

How much does membership cost?
The cost of a membership depends on what currency you make the purchase in and the membership plan you choose.
In the United States and Canada, our credit card/debit card and PayPal prices are as follows:
- $7.95 – recurs every month until canceled
- $39.95 – recurs every six months until canceled
- $59.95 – recurs every twelve months until canceled
Membership cards and gift certificates are one-time purchases.

Can I add more than one membership card to my account?
Yes! You can add a new Membership Card to your account at any time.
For example, if you purchased a 6 month Membership Card, but still have 1 month left on your current membership, you can add the 6 month Membership Card to your account at anytime and you’ll get the full time you’ve paid for!
This means you can even purchase two 6 month Membership Cards and activate them at the same time to enjoy a full year of membership.
